We would like to take this opportunity to thank our staff for their support and commitment to RPCN and our members, particularly in their efforts on dealing with the COVID-19 operations. During the last two years, COVID-19 continued to interfere with carrying out normal activities, however, we managed to provide an acceptable service level to our people. We must continue to take the necessary precautions to protect our staff and our members. We will continue by following and maintaining certain protocols. We must be vigilant given the new COVID variants that are appearing in our province
In addressing the impacts of COVID-19, we as a leadership had to activate a pandemic plan, which included the RPCN Health Clinic opening their doors for on-going vaccinations available to members, Mondays & Thursdays 10am – 3pm. These include booster shots and vaccinations for children and youth. We have also provided on-reserve members with Prevention and Control Supplies. We had created temporary isolation housing for those experiencing COVID-19 to safely isolate away from family. In other instances, we provided food security and other types of expense coverage, which were considered on a case-by-case basis, as per the funding regulations
Despite the impediments created by COVID-19, RPCN has accomplished several new Initiatives. These include the introduction of new Health Care services at the Health Clinic, Virtual and in-person programming for the youth, homecare for the Elders in need, and many new Urban and On-reserve developments.
