This policy explains how Red Pheasant Cree Nation handles personal information on redpheasantcreenation.ca. Information about our members belongs to our Nation, and we follow the First Nations principles of OCAP®.
1. What we collect. Only what you give us, such as through a form, a message or a job application. Like most websites, we also keep basic records of visits to keep the site secure, and we count page visits without cookies and without knowing who you are.
2. How we use it. Only for the reason you gave it. We do not sell it, use it for advertising or add you to a mailing list.
3. Who can see it. Only the people who handle it for the Nation, and it is encrypted on its way to us. We share it only if you agree, the law requires it, or someone’s safety is at risk. Our website, email and backups are run by service providers.
4. How long we keep it. Only as long as it is needed, or as the Nation’s records rules require.
6. Other websites. Facebook posts shown on our pages, and websites we link to, follow their own privacy policies.
7. Your rights. You can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you, or withdraw your consent. Contact the band office at 306-937-7717 or receptionist@redpheasantcn.ca with Privacy in the subject line.
8. Changes. We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
